DEA Helicopter Lands at DJCC for Red Ribbon Week
As a part of the DEA National Red Ribbon Campaign, a DEA helicopter landed in the rear parking lot of the Dale Jackson Career Center on October 27. Principal Alan Strong and all Dale Jackson students, wearing DEA Red Ribbons, turned out to welcome the DEA Special Agents. DEA Supervisory Special Agent Michelle Deaver addressed the Dale Jackson students and answered their questions. In addition, Texas Army National Guard Specialist Jeremy Solis spoke to the Dale Jackson students about his experiences while in Iraq and warned the students of the dangers of drug use.
Dale Jackson Named School of the Month
Dale Jackson Career Center was selected as the October Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce School of the Month. Principal Alan Strong attended the monthly Chamber luncheon as the guest of the Lewisville State Bank. At that time he was presented with a School of the Month plaque. We would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for this honor.
Cabinet Students Tour Stiles Machinery

Cabinet Making Students Place at AWFS
Two Dale Jackson students were honored this summer by the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers at the National Fresh Woods Competition in Las Vegas. Only fifty secondary and post-secondary students were selected to compete in this prestigious competition. Congratulations to Flower Mound HS junior Blake Fullenwider who won first place and to Antelmo Beltran, a senior from Lewisville HS, who won second place. Both competed in the Case Goods category. In addition, DJCC teacher Joe Davis was named the WoodLINKS Teacher of the Year.
