Dale Jackson Animations to be Screened
at the 2009 Dallas Video Festival

On Saturday, November 7, the best animations from the Dale Jackson Career Center will be screened as part of the Student Animation Showcase at the Dallas VideoFest (www.videofest.org). The showcase is a compilation of student-animated shorts from schools all over North Texas, from high school to college. The screening will take place at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station in Dallas beginning at 1:00 PM. (schedule - we're on page 22 of the program; page 12 of the PDF)

For 22 years the Video Association of Dallas has provided access to insightful and forward-looking, cutting edge media. From its beginnings, the Dallas Video Festival focused on championing the democratization of media through spreading the gospel of affordable video technology. Bart Weiss, area coordinator of the film/video program at UT Arlington, was ahead of the curve in 1987, opening one of the first U.S. video festivals. (D Magazine article on the Dallas VideoFest)
